Depth Unknown

Depth Unknown is a nascent collective that maps the constant alteration of archaeological sites in the occupied Palestinian territories and their displaced archaeological artifacts.

The first case study looks at the archaeological site of Sebastia (biblical Samaria) in the West Bank. Future case studies will include Silwan (East Jerusalem) and El-Jib (biblical Gibeon).

This project would not have been possible without the support of The Sharjah Architecture Triennial and the time spent in the residency space of Dar Yusuf Nasri Jacir for Art and Research in Bethlehem, Palestine.
